Bathroom hand dryer extraordinaire!

The hand dryer in the women's restroom at Dick's Last Resort in San Diego is in the "wind tunnel" category!! Watch the videos!! It reminded me of the James Bond movie "Moonraker" when he is in the space thing going around and around faster and faster and his face skin ripples like water! I wish my blow dryer worked this well!

I LOVE THE OLYMPICS! I love the poor Chinese female gymnast that fell on her butt during her vault both times (hee hee) and the wrestler who took his medal and then threw it down, talk about a bad sport! I am waiting for the synchronized swimming and the rhythmic gymnastics, weird but fun! Poor Micheal Phelps, after showing such endurance, how will he ever get a girlfriend? I would be afraid of all that "energy and stamina", ouch.

I finished a scarf....now I need to do the matching hat and then post.....exciting huh.

Stewart is now Cone free! He goes back in 1 month (on my friend Denny's birthday) for a check up. His eyes are sort of silver so he looks like he is from the spice planet in Dune!

Gnomes and Cones

Okay, the next crochet project was a gnome. He is not my favorite so far (the one online came out cuter).

Stewart had his 2nd appointment after eye surgery...He is doing well, but still has recovery to do. I got him a new "padded" cone because his neck was getting irritated by the old one.

Hats!

Well, I ended up making 2 hats.

The first one, called "Thick and Quick", was easy and quick to make (http://crafts.lovetoknow.com/wiki/Crochet_Hat_Pattern). I think I need to make a scarf to go with it.

The second is a "Beary cute hat" (http://naidascrochet.tripod.com/patterns/bearyhat.html).

Tony made a parking cone, not sure where he found that pattern!
